Modo Ante, a pioneering consultancy specialising in Governance, Public Sector, and Political Consulting, has reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology and innovative strategies to optimize revenue generation for both governments and private sector partners.

Bamijoko Okupe, Chief Executive Officer of Modo Ante, emphasised this commitment at the recently concluded Eko Revenue Plus Summit in Lagos. The summit brought together policymakers, thought leaders, and private sector stakeholders to explore innovative approaches to revenue generation and address fiscal challenges.

Organised by Modo Ante in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, the summit provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the role of technology and innovation in enhancing public service delivery.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in his keynote address, advocated for a broader approach to revenue generation beyond taxation. He emphasized the potential of optimizing state-owned assets and creating new economic opportunities, particularly through public-private partnerships (PPPs) in real estate, waste management, and technology. The Governor underscored the importance of technology in modern governance and revenue optimization, highlighting the state’s commitment to embracing innovative solutions to manage its growing population and economy.

Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, presented a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable revenue growth in Lagos State. He highlighted the state’s achievements in expanding the tax net and implementing data-driven policies to improve compliance. Ogungbo emphasized the importance of technology and capacity building in modern revenue generation and called on other states to emulate Lagos’s approach.

Okupe, who co-convened the summit, reiterated Modo Ante’s mission to transform governance and public sector performance through innovation and growth strategies. He expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government for partnering with Modo Ante on the summit and commended Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership in prioritizing technology-driven governance.

Okukpe emphasised the crucial role of data analytics and economic modeling in addressing complex governance challenges. He highlighted Modo Ante’s commitment to providing actionable insights that drive growth and create value for all stakeholders.

The Eko Revenue Plus Summit concluded with a renewed call for collaboration among government, the private sector, and civil society to address fiscal challenges and unlock new revenue streams. Participants recognized the transformative potential of technology and innovation in public finance management.
