Ballon D’Or winner, Rodri has revealed he is open to interest from Real Madrid.
The Manchester City midfielder made this known in a chat with _Cadena SER_ on Thursday.
Rodri, who once turned out for Atletico Madrid and Villarreal, disclosed a strong interest in a return to Spain should Real Madrid come calling.
He described the reigning UEFA Champions League and La Liga champions as the “best club in history”.
“When the best club in history, the most decorated and what it represents, calls you, it makes you proud and you always must listen,” he enthused in response to a question about a hypothetical move to the Spanish capital.
However, the 28-year-old does not appear keen to depart City, noting that “it could be a possibility to end my career in England; I feel very valued,” although he later clarified that “Spain is my country, and the teams are growing more and more. In the end, they are the best leagues.”
