Former lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has described the Nigeria Police’s claims of terrorist funding against the National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, as strange and unfortunate.
Sani revealed this in a post on his X account on Tuesday.
“Terrorism allegation against the NLC President Ajaero is strange and unfortunate,” the senator posted on X.
Daily Sun reported that the police summoned Ajaero on Monday for interrogation on charges of terrorist funding, treasonable felony, cybercrime, and other crimes.
ACP Adamu Muazu signed the invitation letter, dated August 19, 2024, on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team.
The police had warned that if Ajaero did not come for interrogation on Tuesday (today), he would face an arrest warrant.
