From Taiwo Oluwadare, Ibadan

The Rotary Club of Ibadan has inducted Abiodun Ajayi, Chief Executive Officer, Agrocon Investment Ltd, as its 63rd president. The investiture took place recently at the Rotary Club of Ibadan House, Iyaganku, GRA, Ibadan. It also inducted its new board members.

The club equally raised funds to support its projects, including Ajoke Girl Child Project, Economic and Community Development, Peace and Conflict Prevention, Water and Sanitation, Disease Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, Environment, and Club House Project.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including chairman at the occasion, Adebayo Adisa, Past International Vice President of the club, Yinka Babalola and the Past District Governor and Chairman of BOVAS Group, Bamidele Samson.

Ajayi expressed his delight at the honor bestowed upon him to lead the club. He urged members to support his administration in achieving the club’s objectives.

He stated that he and his board members would participation of all members in the club’s service projects. He described the Rotary Club of Ibadan as an organisation that cares for its members and the community it serves.

Investiture chairman, Fisayo Ogunbiyi, explained that the event was meant to showcase the club’s laudable projects for the year, as well as to raise funds and steer the club’s direction for the next year.

Guest speaker, Dr. Adeyinka Hassan, delved into the topic of “Effective Humanitarian Governance and the Society.” He emphasised the importance of humanitarian governance in addressing the needs of marginalized and vulnerable populations and promoting sustainable development in society.
