Super Falcons striker Jennifer Echegini has expressed her delight after securing a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) from Juventus.

Echegini has signed a three-year contract with PSG, keeping her at the club until June 2027.

In an official statement on its website, PSG announced the signing of the Nigerian forward from Juventus. Echegini described the transfer as a proud moment in her career.

“Today is a great moment in my career. Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is an immense source of pride. I’m very proud to be joining a club recognised around the world for its ambition and excellence.

“I can’t wait to get started and I can’t wait to give my all to try and win as many trophies as possible, with my team-mates and for the fans.” she said.

Born in Nijmegen, Netherlands, Jennifer began her football career in England, developing in the youth ranks of Millwall Lionesses FC and Arsenal.

In 2019, she moved to the United States, joining the University of Mississippi before transferring to Florida State in 2022.

During her last season in the American university championship, the 23-year-old led her team to the title of 2023 NCAA Champions.

Her outstanding performances earned her numerous accolades, including best attacker and best player in the Atlantic Coast Conference, as well as the prestigious Hermann Trophy.
