Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh has tipped Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface to lead Nigeria to glory in the African Cup of Nations.
Recall Boniface missed out on the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast through injury he picked during the Super Eagles pre-AFCON training camp in Abu Dhabi.
The big Nigerian striker on Sunday spurred Bayer Leverkusen to the biggest prize in German football since they were founded 120 years ago, scoring from the spot in the 5-0 demolition of Wolfsburg at the BayArena.
A delighted Oliseh shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) after the big Nigerian scored his 18th goal in 27 games.
Victor Boniface was once again extraordinary as Leverkusen grabbed it’s first ever Bundesliga title with 5 games left to play. Boniface is strong, skilful, intelligent, mobile, calm under pressure and I am convinced he will lead Nigeria to AFCON glory and more soon. Congrats bro!!.
The win against Wolfsburg, saw Leverkusen go 44 matches.
They are also in serious reckoning for the German Cup, where they will battle Kaiserlautern in the final next month, and the UEFA Europa League, where they won the home leg of the quarterfinal against West Ham.
