All Progressives Congress (APC) National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, has commiserated with the Ezeife dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, Aguata, Anambra state, over the demise of the former governor of the state, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife.
Chidi Duru, the Chairman, Grand Towers Limited, and former member, House of Representatives, in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja noted that the country has lost one of its finest patriots.
He also described him as a seasoned politician and an accomplished administrator who worked assiduously when he was alive for the enthronement of democratic ethos and unity of the country.
He recalled how Okwadike initiated people-oriented policies and programmes during his brief spell as governor of old Anambra State, adding that his tenure laid the foundation for the development of the state.
Nze Duru further stated in the statement issued by his Chief of Staff/Media Adviser, Ugboaja, Stanley Uzoamaka, noted that; “the country would miss his robust contributions on issues of national discourse and the sustenance of the unity of the country.”
According to a condolence message he personally signed and issued on Friday, in Abuja, the serial entrepreneur also prayed that the Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest and his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear his demise.
“Chief Ezeife was a seasoned politician and an accomplished administrator who worked assiduously when he was alive for the enthronement of democratic ethos and unity of the country.
“Okwadike, as he was fondly called, initiated people-oriented policies and programmes during his brief spell as governor of old Anambra state. Hiss tenure laid the foundation for the development of the state.
“The country will miss his robust contributions on issues of national discourse and the sustenance of the unity of the country. I pray that the Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest and his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear his demise,” Duru noted in the statement.
