Following yearnings from fans, Afrobeat singer and Grammy nominee, Made Kuti, will on Sunday, June 11 make his debut at Good Village, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Packaged by FK Management, the show is coming after Made’s return from foreign tours and rehearsals with The Movement band.
Speaking, the Afrobeat musician said, “We are bringing the Shrine to the Island. It’s all for Afrobeat and humanity. I can’t wait to perform for the Island audience who have been yearning for my performance with The Movement Band.”
Made’s last single, which he composed, arranged and authored, was produced by GMK and Sodi Marciszewer, who recorded, mixed and produced his grand father, Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s last six albums.
After the release of his last single, No More Wars via Partisan Records, Made has got closer to his fans through shows and performances at Afrika Shrine and other places in the world.
“I am determined in my pursuit of taking Afrobeat to a greater height after the achievements of my uncle, Seun Kuti, my father, Femi Kuti and grandpa, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti,” he noted.
