The Noble Peace Club (NPC) of Nigeria has sent warm felicitations to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Organisation, Chinedu Francis Akubueze on his recent appointment as Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, Dr. Godswill Akpabio.
According to the National Father of the Organisation, Chief Nnamdi Anukwuem at a parley of the NPC Trustees with African Writers Centre (AWC), it was a well-deserved appointment given to a man of honour and responsibility.
He said Akubueze has, over the years, demonstrated astute capacity in discharging assignments of the various offices he had occupied.
He observed that the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Senate President had shown loyalty in serving the country as a dedicated and committed public servant, who rose through the ranks to become the Clerk of the Senate.
The NPC boss has no doubt that Akubueze would, as usual, deliver efficiency and positive transformation in his new assignment.
Other members of the Board of Trustees of the NPC, who were present, took turns to extol Akubueze’s virtues. Among them was Chief Ochi Tahill, who expressed excitement over the appointment. He described Abubueze as a man who the cap fits.
In his brief remarks, ACP Harrison Orurua also congratulated the new Chief of Staff and wished him well in his new assignment, urging him to remain steadfast as a great ambassador of the organisation.
Affirming that Akubueze is a rare administrator, Hon. Osita Opara averred that he has always stood out through his commitment to work, focus on tangible goals, and tenacity of purpose. Mr. Chuma Ugbo, another trustee of the organisation, who also spoke to AWC, described Akubueze as one who is compassionate and derives pleasure in service.
Ugbo noted that Akubueze is a man of uncommon humility and thoroughness and affirmed that he still has a lot to offer the Federal Republic of Nigeria in service.
In his contribution, Hon. Darlington Okereke noted that Akubueze is a man of candor and commitment to work, as well as a fine public servant, who has always distinguished himself in any office he served.
While expressing warm gratitude to the President of the Senate, Akpabio, for the appointment, the NPC BOT members extolled the uncommon virtues of ingenuity of the Senate President in fixing the round peg in the round hole by appointing Akubueze, who they described further as an experienced administrator.
Akubueze assumed this new position on the heels of the recent appointment of the erstwhile Chief of Staff to the President of the Senate, Chief Sylvester Okonkwo by President Bola Tinubu as Director, Corporate Services of the South East Development Commission.
Akubueze recently retired as the Clerk of the Senate after attaining the compulsory 60 years based on the civil service rule.
