Cristiano Ronaldo inked a two-year extension with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, the club announced, following weeks of speculation over which team he would sign for next season.

Minutes before the official confirmation, the team posted a teaser video, with the 40-year-old Ronaldo walking along a beachfront and saying: “Al Nassr forever.”

Contract Duration

Ronaldo has signed a two-year contract extension with Al-Nassr, which would keep him with the Saudi Pro League side until 2027, when he will be 42 years old.

Financial Details

Ronaldo’s new contract reportedly makes him the world’s highest-paid footballer, earning between €183 and €200 million per year.

This works out to almost €15.25 million each month, €3.8 million per week, or €550,000 every day. Commercial arrangements and image rights may provide additional profits.

Club Ownership Stake

The contract includes a provision for Ronaldo to receive a 5% stake in Al-Nassr, potentially increasing his influence in the club’s decision-making and aligning with his interest in future club ownership.

Performance and Goals

Since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023, Ronaldo has scored 99 goals in 111 appearances across all competitions, with a goal every 96 minutes.

The extension supports his ambition to reach 1,000 career goals, as he currently stands at 938.
