The Imo State Police Command has called on members of the public to come forward and claim over 450 motorcycles recovered during operations across the state.

In a press release issued, Monday, by the Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, the Command confirmed that a significant number of the recovered motorcycles remain unclaimed and are currently in police custody pending proper identification. The Command said the recovered motorcycles were suspected to have been stolen or snatched, both within and outside Imo State.

Okoye further directed owners seeking to recover their motorcycles  to report at either the Imo State Police Command Headquarters, Owerri, or the Anti-Kidnapping Unit. Claimants must present credible proof of ownership, including purchase receipts, registration documents, engine and chassis numbers, or other verifiable means of identification.

He assured that strict verification procedures will be followed to ensure motorcycles are released only to their rightful owners, in line with established legal and professional standards.
