About 400 primary and secondary schools under the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) are expected to participate in the 2026 Redeemer’s Day programme scheduled to hold across the church’s regions in Nigeria.

The event, coordinated by Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management, the body responsible for the formal educational institutions of the church, will take place from March 13 to 14 simultaneously in the 64 regions of the denomination located across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

In a statement by the schools management body, the programme would be held under the theme, ‘Lord of All.’ The programme was initiated more than two decades ago by the wife of the General Overseer and Mother-in-Israel, Folu Adeboye, as part of activities to mark what the organisers described as God’s goodness and faithfulness to the schools and the church.

According to Adeboye, the programme was conceived primarily as a celebration among the schools within the church network. “The Redeemer’s Day is a celebration, not a competition,” she said.

The programme typically includes march pasts, sporting activities, thanksgiving parades as well as art and science exhibitions involving pupils and students from participating schools.

The schools expected to take part are drawn from institutions operating within the church’s outlets nationwide.

The Chairman of Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management, Michael Aduradola confirmed that arrangements had been made for the conduct of the programme, adding that “representatives of the management body would monitor activities in the various regions where the event will hold.”
