300 students, parents, others to participate in StudyIn conference

No fewer than 300 students, young professionals, parents and education stakeholders are expected to gather in Lagos for a one day conference organized by StudyIn.

A statement by the organizer also stated that representatives of foreign universities will attend the event at Federal Palace Hotel.

The conference, themed “Future Ready: Succeeding in an AI-Driven World,” will focus on how AI is changing education, careers, and the skills students need to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving global economy.

According to StudyIn, the event will attract over 300 students, young professionals, parents, and

education stakeholders, alongside representatives from international institutions across the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.

“Preparing students for more than university admission

As technology continues to reshape the workplace, choosing a university and course now requires you to think beyond admission.”

The StudyIn global study event will provide practical conversations around higher education, employability, emerging technologies and future career opportunities, while helping students and parents make more informed decisions about international education.

It said participants will have the opportunity to speak directly with university representatives on their programmes, admission requirements, application timelines, tuition fees, scholarships, visa processes and post-study work opportunities.

“The conference is part of StudyIn Nigeria’s broader commitment to providing students, young professionals and families with professional guidance on university and course selection, applications, visa support and the key steps involved in their international education journey,” it stated.

As part of the event, StudyIn disclosed that it has invited year 11 and year 12 students from secondary schools nationwide to participate in the Future Ready Essay Competition, designed to encourage young people to think critically about the impact of artificial intelligence on education.

It noted: “The competition gives students an opportunity to share their perspectives on what it means to be prepared for an AI-driven world and how young people can position themselves for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

“Outstanding entries will receive prizes, including a MacBook, an iPad, and other exciting prizes,” the organizer added.

The statement stressed that since 2006, StudyIn has supported over 1.3 million students globally and operates

through a network of more than 100 offices in 42 countries, establishing its position as the

best globally experienced higher education consultancy.

It further added that in Nigeria, StudyIn provided free support across university and course selection,

applications, visa guidance, and other aspects of the international education journey,

helping students navigate an increasingly complex global higher education landscape.

The statement disclosed that StudyIn combines international

expertise with local knowledge to support students, young professionals and families in

identifying suitable education pathways based on their academic goals, career aspirations

and individual circumstances.

Speaking ahead of the conference, Mary Agbu, the Country Director said: “Students today are preparing for a world that is changing faster than ever.
