Fromer Nigeria international guard, Abdulrahman Mohammed has been recalled from retirement to lead Nigeria Customs Service men basketball team as the second edition of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies is set to tip-off at the Indoor Hall of the MKO Abiola international stadium, Abuja.
The championship will feature seven teams between April 15 through April 20, 2024.
Abdulrahman, who coached the Nigeria Customs women team to the FIBA Africa Zone 3 top spot last December, will be joined by his several teammates like Daniel Moko, Samson Ogunsanwo among others.
Team coach, Mohammed Abbah popularly known as ‘Jagu’ is confident that the team will not disappoint the Bashir Adewale Adeniyi led Customs management.
“This is the first time we will participate in the championship because of our players were not available when the first edition was held but we are up to the task.
“I have huge confidence in our players as they are tested both at the local and international scene with many having represented Nigeria in the past, concluded coach Mohammed.
