Ace musician Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Face, has weighed in on the ongoing debate comparing singer Wizkid to the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
Wizkid provoked anger when he said he is “bigger” than Fela in response to Seun Kuti’s criticism of him and his followers for comparing the Ojuelegba crooner to the Afrobeat superstar.

In a snippet from the next episode of the Mic On podcast, 2Face called the comparison “ridiculous”, claiming that it is both insulting to Fela’s legacy and unjust to Wizkid’s career.
The African Queen crooner explained that placing Fela and Wizkid side by side ignores their different eras, impacts, and unique contributions to Nigerian music.
“Comparing Fela with Wizkid is ridiculous. Apart from the fact that it is disrespectful to Fela, at the same time, it is also unfair to Wizkid,” 2Face expressed.
