Senior Pastor of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Mrs Esther Komaiya, has celebrated 29 years of marriage to her husband, Pastor Korede Komaiya, describing him as a “divine covering” and a rare gift from God.
The couple marked their wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 16, with Esther paying glowing tribute to her husband for his love, strength, patience and sacrifices throughout their 29-year journey.
In a heartfelt anniversary message titled “To My King,” Esther recalled their wedding on August 16, 1997, saying their union had become a testimony of “love, peace, sacrifice, growth, and the unshakable faithfulness of God.”
She thanked her husband for standing by her through the years, particularly for the sacrifices he made to keep their home peaceful.
“Thank you for the strength that never bowed under pressure. Thank you for the patience that held the line when the journey tested every fibre of us,” she wrote.
Esther also praised Pastor Korede for supporting her dreams and giving her room to thrive, describing his sacrifices as “the silent ones, the costly ones.”

She said their marriage had taught her that commitment must come before reward.
“You showed me that marriage is first sacrificial before it becomes beneficial. And because you lived that truth with quiet fire and unwavering commitment, I have never once regretted the day I said ‘I do,’” she stated.
Describing her husband as more than a partner, the cleric declared: “You are a rare gift from God. Not a good man. Not a strong partner. A divine covering. A rare gift.”
Reflecting on their 29 years together, Esther said she could see God’s hand in their marriage, stressing that they were “not just a couple who endured” but “a couple helped by God.”
She renewed her commitment to her husband, whom she fondly called “My Oba,” saying: “To my King — I still choose you. I still honour you. I still thank God for the privilege of calling you husband.”
She concluded: “Happy 29th Anniversary, my love, my Oba. The best is still ahead of us. I love you more than yesterday… and less than tomorrow.”
