The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly difiling a nine-year-old girl in Ikorodu area of the state .
According to the police, the survivor’s mother, who lives at Offin Oke Egan Street, Ikorodu, had reported that her 9-year-old daughter, complained that she was having stomach pains and when she checked her, she discovered that she was discharging from her private parts.
On enquiry, she girl told her how Mr. Issac Adeniran,29,a neighbour, lured her to to his room and defiled her.
According to Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the survivor was taken to Ita Ilewa Medical Centre, Ikorodu, for treatment, while the suspect was arrested.
The PPRO said the case has been handed over to the Gender Unit at the State Command Headquarters, Ikeja , while Investigation into the matter continues.
