Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, has criticised supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, accusing them of prioritising personal interests over the country’s wellbeing.
Edochie made the remarks in a social media post while expressing support for Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
She also questioned the motivations of some APC supporters in their political allegiance, saying, “You’re after your pockets.”
“If you are supporting APC, it means you are just after your pockets not for the betterment of our country Nigeria,” she wrote.

The actress also urged Nigerians to reject vote buying and political thuggery during the election.
“Say no to vote buying, say no to political thuggery, say no to grabbing, snatching and running with the people’s mandate,” Edochie stated.
She further called on Nigerians to support what she described as “capacity” while endorsing Obi and Kwankwaso’s political platform ahead of the 2027 election.
