…Says he has done very well for Nigerians to vote for him

From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja

The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, has gone spiritual in expressing confidence that Nigerians will massively re-elect President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election having done perfectly well in the areas of infrastructure and policy development.

He spoke at a function in Abuja organised by the APC Integrity Support Group to drum support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Challenging them to propagate the policies he urged them to take the message of good hope to Nigerians and mobilise them to re-elect him massively.

According to him; “Since the President came on board, he has floated so many policies across the divide, across all the sectors of the society. In the economic reforms of the President, he has introduced the subsidy revolver policy. He has standardised the foreign exchange market. We have tax reforms and customs reforms. There’s fiscal discipline in the area of infrastructure.”

“The President has done revolution in the area of infrastructure provision. We are aware of the 700 kilometre road from Lagos to Calabar, and the other one from Badagry to Sokoto. The President has also floated the energy transition programme, the CNG programme. It’s well and doing fine.

“Then there is also the electricity act that the administration has passed. You also have social investment and welfare programmes, such as NelFund – The students are being given loans to undertake their studies without relying so much on their parents and putting themselves on immense pressures. The government has also signed a N70,000 minimum wage.

“It is expected that the integrity group and many of the support groups backing this administration, both in terms of its policy, its ideological commitment and its revolutionary zeal to transform and develop Nigeria.

“It will be at the forefront of mobilising l voters, mobilising the citizens, telling them what this administration will likely do foreseeably, especially in the next four years if the administration is re-elected. And by the grace of God, I know Nigerians will re-elect the president for the next four years,” Yilwatda went spiritual.

Assigning responsibility to them, the APC boss, said: “One of the duties of a support group is to propagate these kind of policies. And as we move into the election, I see us, especially members of the integrity group, doing this because they have the capacity, manpower and human resources to do that. And I’m sure you are going to do it.”

The Director General of the APC Integrity Group, Oke Idawene, who spoke at the event, said that; “Renewed Hope agenda is a baby of the president and we are proud ambassadors that are determined to ensure that according to the 2030 that we shall have a $1 trillion economy for Nigeria.

“We know that the president is ensuring that Nigeria gets better in terms of measures. We are here to see that we don’t change the unity. Changing the unity is an error. That is why the theme of this programme is satirising for national consolidation. How is that so? I’m not a guest speaker.

“I am only doing an intro to what will come up to me. The economy is getting better. The people are getting safer. Before I go further, to every life that was lost in Jos attack, can we have a minute of silence? If you want to rise, please rise. A minute of silence. A minute of silence. Just a moment. The results of the peace process are all of us raised in public peace. This is a perfect example,” he said.
