The All Progressive Congress (APC), United Kingdom Chapter, has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for second term in office.

The group said it took the action based on his administration’s achievements across all sectors, including infrastructure, economic stabilisation, security reform, and youth empowerment.

The chairman of the APC UK Chapter, Tunde Doherty, made the disclosure during an encounter with Saturday Sun yesterday.

According to him, the APC UK chapter had some days ago presented a letter of endorsement officially to the National Secretary of the party, Ajibola Basiru, and the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Muhammed Garba at an event in London. The letter dated May 19, 2025, he stated, was jointly signed by himself and secretary of APC in the UK, Chief Momoh Obaro, and addressed to the APC National Working Committee and President Tinubu. Doherty, who commended the NWC’s strategic leadership, inclusive decision-making, and efforts to strengthen party unity and internal democracy, said the bold reforms and proactive diplomacy embarked upon by the administration have positively repositioned Nigeria on the global stage.

The endorsement, according to him, would be formally ratified at a major event later this year in the United Kingdom. He stated that Tinubu and the party’s national executives would be invited for the programme.

“We are convinced beyond reasonable doubt that the various milestones recorded within the first two years of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration are enough for us to endorse him for a second term. “In political parlance, we say one good term deserves another and on that basis, the APC UK chapter is supporting President Tinubu’s second term in office. “We support the ‘Renewed Hope’ agenda and we are ready to play a key role in mobilising the diaspora community in support of the Tinubu administration and the APC, as Nigeria moves toward the 2027 general elections,” the group stated.
