The National Coordinator of the Door-to-Door Campaign Movement for President Bola Tinubu, Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), has predicted that the President will secure 70 per cent of total votes cast in Nigeria in the 2027 general elections.
Tompolo spoke in Kano through the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, during the distribution of campaign vehicles purchased for state chapters of the movement.
He said President Tinubu’s performance has earned him massive support across the federation, adding that this is evident in the number of governors who had defected to the APC to support the re-election campaign.
“A lot has been done and he is very bold with his economic reforms. Good things attract people and that is why many Nigerians believe in the President today,” he said.
According to him, the growing followership across the northern states is a clear indication that Nigerians appreciate the President’s policies.
“The level of followership across the northern states is a clear indication that what Mr President is doing is appreciated. That is why across the board, you now have about 31 state governors in the APC,” he stated.
He recalled that the number was much lower before, but increased after Delta State took the bold step to join the centre, inspired by the President’s reforms including subsidy removal, floating of the naira, and massive infrastructural development.
He cited ongoing projects such as the rail project in Kano, the AKK Gas Pipeline Project, and the revamping of the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport as examples of developments attracting support for the President.
“All of these things attract the people. I am very strongly convinced that come 2027, the people of Nigeria will speak in a loud voice in support of Mr President to continue his reforms. He is going to win,” he said.
On the door-to-door strategy, Tompolo said the movement has begun inaugurating state chapters across the northern and southern states, with ambassadors positioned in every polling unit and every home.
