The Global Initiative Support Group (GISG) has inaugurated coordinators and canvassers across the 25 local government areas of Delta State to intensify grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates for the 2027 general election.

The inauguration in Ughelli brought together members from across the state, APC leaders, women and youth leaders and representatives of the diaspora chapter.

Performing the inauguration on behalf of Delta APC, Chairman, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, Delta South Senatorial Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba, commended Convener Olorogun Festus Ahon and Chairman Chief Josiah Ntekume for building a structure with presence in all the LGAs and in the diaspora.

Amgbaduba attributed the group’s emergence to Oborevwori’s performance in infrastructure, healthcare, education and other sectors, citing road construction in previously inaccessible communities and approval of 13th-month salary for civil servants.

He urged members to mobilise not only for the governor but also for President Tinubu, senators, House of Representatives and House of Assembly members for a comprehensive victory, and to remain focused despite opposition activities.

Convener and Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olorogun Festus Ahon, said the initiative was established by friends across the globe to mobilise for Oborevwori’s re-election and all APC candidates.

“Our assignment is straightforward. Take the campaign to the grassroots through door-to-door mobilisation,” Ahon said, adding the group targets a five-over-five victory.

Chairman, Chief Josiah Ntekume, said the inauguration marked a step toward building a formidable network to take the message to every ward and polling unit.

Dignitaries included State Organising Secretary Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, Hon. Abel Oshevire, Comrade Ologe Elijah and Executive Assistant on Media Dr Nelson Egware.
