Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has commented on the attendance of the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, at the inauguration of the campaign office of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde.
Sani made the comment in a post on his verified X handle on Tuesday, where he likened Obi’s political action to someone selling one soft drink while promoting another competing brand.
“Peter is selling Pepsi and he is doing promo for Coke,” the former lawmaker wrote.
Obi attended the inauguration of Makinde’s campaign office in Abuja on Monday.
The event was attended by prominent political figures, including the National Leader of the APM and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
Mohammed cautioned Nigerians against underestimating the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Obi’s presence at the event has attracted reactions following his emergence as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
