The Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027, praising the turnout at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Kaduna.
The coalition, comprising youth groups across the 19 Northern states, also commended Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the Presidential Campaign Council, for his role in mobilising support for the rally.
In a statement, Coordinator of the Northwest chapter of NYF, Saminu Turaki, described the turnout as a demonstration of continued support for Tinubu’s leadership and vision in the region.
Turaki congratulated the President on the rally’s success and applauded traditional rulers, community leaders and residents for participating in the event.
“The spectacular outing in Kaduna is a clear testament to the unalloyed love, confidence and overwhelming support that the people of Northern Nigeria continue to repose in the leadership and vision of President Tinubu,” he said.
He described Yari’s leadership and grassroots mobilisation as instrumental to the rally’s success, saying his organisational skills had helped energise youths across the North.
“Through his pragmatic leadership, strategic vision and tireless grassroots mobilisation, Senator Yari has once again proven to be a master strategist and a true champion of political unity and organisation,” Turaki said.
He added that Yari’s stewardship had set a high standard for political campaigns and strengthened youth participation in the region.
The coalition also urged opposition parties and other political stakeholders to avoid inflammatory statements and actions capable of threatening national unity and stability.
“As the political atmosphere gathers momentum, the Northern Youth Frontiers strongly calls on all opposition parties and political actors to desist from any actions, utterances or campaigns of calumny capable of overheating the polity,” he said.
Turaki urged political parties to focus on ideas, development plans and performance records rather than exploiting ethnic and religious differences.
He said the coalition’s endorsement of Tinubu for a second term was based on what it described as his performance, commitment to nation-building and economic reform agenda.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated courageous leadership in steering the nation towards sustainable growth, and the North stands ready to ensure the continuation of these transformational policies for another term,” he added.Alternative puncher headlines
