Non-indigenes in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State have expressed support for the aspiration of Hon. Muhammed Agboola Emiabata, following his expression of interest and filling of nomination to contest the House of Representatives seat under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in 2027.

The formal endorsement by non- indigenes reflects growing confidence in his capacity, accessibility and commitment to inclusive representation and people oriented leadership.

Stakeholders in Ojo community, including youth, professionals, traders, and various support groups across Ojo Federal Constituency, came together to rally support for the aspirant.

They described his aspiration as welcoming and an assurance of responsive representation at this time in the constituency.

Secretary of All Ojo Non-indigenes, Cletus Ahaotu, who is also a top leader among Ohanaeze Ndigbo, said the Non-indigene and Ohanaeze endorsed Hon. Emiabata for House of Representatives because of his past experiences, which he said had shown that only persons with proven honourable disposition, humility, responsiveness, and kind heart should be supported and sponsored.

According to him, Ojo’s diversity remains one of its greatest strengths.

Ahaotu stated further that the aspiration of Emiabata resonates with the hopes and expectations of many residents across ethnic religious and social backgrounds, even as they observed that his resolve to contest on ADC platform having filing his nomination form with the party had further energized his supporters and grassroots mobilisers.

“We can no longer support those who will go to Abuja and not look back again until after four years,” he said.

Stakeholders in the community also restated the need for leadership that understands the daily reality of the people and remains committed to equitable development, youth inclusion, and community progress.

In his remarks, Emiabata also expressed great appreciation to the people, even as he seized the opportunity to call on his supporters and residents across the constituency to remain united, engaged and committed to the democratic process as preparations for the election continues, even as he assured that he would not betray the trust they responded in him.

“I will not betray your trust,” he assured.

The growing support behind Hon.Agboola Emiabata’s aspiration is seen by many political observers as a significant development within the evolving political landscape of Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.
