The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed its National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, as chairman of its National Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections, with its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, named as co-chairman.
The party announced the appointments in a statement published on its X account on Sunday, outlining the leadership structure that will coordinate its campaign activities and mobilisation efforts nationwide.
Under the arrangement, the NDC National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, will serve as vice-chairman, while the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been appointed co-vice-chairman.
The party’s National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, will serve as secretary of the council, while Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim has been named director-general.
The NDC said the council would provide strategic direction for its campaign and coordinate efforts to mobilise support for its candidates across the country.
