The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed to win all elective positions in the state in the 2027 general elections and declared its loyalty to President Bola Tinubu.

The chairman of the party in the state, Chief Austin Onyedebelu, said this while briefing journalists after the party’s congress.

He described the exercise as peaceful, free and fair. He said aspirants who participated in the process also adjudged it credible.

Onyedebelu commended aspirants, who stepped down for others, saying their decision demonstrated party loyalty and a commitment to equity within the APC.

He appreciated the leader of the party in the state, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for his leadership throughout the process. He also praised party members for conducting themselves peacefully during the exercise.

The chairman urged aspirants who did not emerge as winners to remain in the party and contribute to building its strength at the grassroots.

“Today, APC is stronger in the state and ready for the 2027 general election. Our target is to win for Tinubu, win all the senatorial seats and all House of Representatives seats in Imo,” Onyedebelu said.

The party said it would intensify mobilisation across the state ahead of the 2027 polls.
