The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced Ibrahim el-Amin as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections in Kano State.

Acting State Chairman of the party, Umar Bala Kwalwa disclosed this while presenting INECs governorship nomination form, EC-13B to Ibrahim el-Amin yesterday.

In a post on his Facebook page, he confirmed receiving the form, saying, “By the grace of Allah, I have received the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) governorship nomination form, EC-13B, from the acting Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State, Dr. Umar Bala Kwalwa. We pray to Allah to bless this milestone and make it a success.”

Earlier in the Fourth Republic, Ibrahim el- Amin had aspired for the post of the Kano State governorship candidate under the defunct All Peoples Party (APP).

The ticket was eventually handed over to Ibrahim Shekarau despite El Amin’s impressive role in reviving the party.
