Afrobeats star, Davido says he is undecided on backing President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, despite his uncle, Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, endorsing him.
He made his stance known in an interview with News Central TV, a snippet of which went viral on X on Tuesday.
Shortly after securing re-election in last Saturday’s governorship poll, Adeleke reaffirmed his earlier promise to work for Tinubu’s second term.
Addressing journalists on Sunday, the Osun governor said, “At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election. Mr President is a son of Osun State, and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election.”

However, Davido, who political analysts named as a key figure in his uncle’s victory, said he is not convinced to toe that path.
The singer said, “immediately he won, my uncle came out to declare his support for Tinubu, but as for me, I am not propelled to support anybody.”
He said he was not inclined to support any of the presidential candidates despite backing Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in a previous election.
“Right now I don’t have a presidential candidate. It might change but it will not be APC,” the singer insisted.
