The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group has set a target of mobilising 15 million votes nationwide for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, as it appointed the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, as its grand patron.
The group said its mobilisation would be anchored on what it described as the measurable impact of the Tinubu administration’s projects and programmes across the country, as well as intervention projects it had facilitated.
Speaking during an engagement with Fagbemi, the leadership said it would intensify grassroots mobilisation across the country, particularly in Kwara State, to strengthen support for the President ahead of the general election.
It expressed confidence that projects and initiatives of the Federal Government in Kwara would provide a strong basis for mobilising voters in Kwara South and other parts of the state.
The group listed the establishment of an Army battalion in Omu-Aran, efforts towards the Ora–Ijagbo–Osogbo Road project, provision of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses for civil servants and employment opportunities among interventions it said had benefited residents.
According to the group, these and other projects would form a major plank of its campaign to mobilise support for Tinubu.
It said the nationwide target of 15 million votes was based on the impact of the administration’s projects and programmes and pledged sustained grassroots engagement ahead of the election.

Responding, Fagbemi expressed appreciation for his appointment as grand patron and challenged the group to go beyond delivering Kwara State for Tinubu by working for the victory of all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the state.
The AGF also commended the group’s activities across 20 states, where it said it had facilitated various intervention projects.
Fagbemi said the movement was redefining the role of political support and civil society groups by shifting emphasis from complaints to contribution and translating political influence into practical interventions.
He expressed confidence that the group could achieve greater results if its members were given opportunities to serve in positions of responsibility, adding that he was proud to associate with the movement.
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group said it was established to develop men and women who would promote the President’s political philosophy.
The movement also operates a Leadership Academy and said it had partnered with the University of Lagos and Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) on its proposed Institute of Governance and Centre for Policy, Politics and Accountability.
