She said of all the candidates contesting the governorship election, only Odii would transform the state and save the people from untold hardship.

“We, the women, have suffered a lot, and that’s why we gathered here, in our large numbers, to take a stand on the 2027 governorship election, and we have taken the position. We have declared our total support for Chief Ifeanyi Odii for next year’s general election because he has all it takes to develop this state. We will change Ebonyi State with Chief Ifeanyi Odii; we will do it because we have the number”, she said.
In his remarks, the National President, Odozi Obodo Youth Assembly, a support group of Odii, Chief Mark Onu, implored the women to remain resolute and united in their struggle to enthrone good governance in the state. He described women as the strength to the society, saying that any politician who ignores women will fail in the election.
“Women are very important to society. Apart from being important to society, women are more sincere than men. Women have given the majority of votes in any election since 1999. We have monitored elections, both in local governments, in wards, and even in the state, and we can attest that women give 70% of the votes. So, women are in the majority.
“And, because they are in majority, no right thinking person, who is a politician, should joke with women, because if women come together and say, ‘we don’t believe in this’, it will be very difficult for anybody to achieve what they don’t believe in”, Onu stated.
