Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the Delta State APC Media and Publicity Committee, Hon. Kenny Okolugbo, has declared that the party is fully prepared and well-positioned to record landslide victory across the state.
Addressing journalists in Asaba on Monday, Hon. Okolugbo said the APC remains the most organized and people-oriented party in Delta State, with strong structures from unit to state level to deliver victory in 2027.
According to him, the APC is not just preparing to win elections but to continue to deliver good governance to Nigerians and Deltans.
Okolugbo lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold and visionary leadership in the last three years, noting that the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is already yielding positive results.
He outlined some of the achievements of President Tinubu to include:
Removal of fuel subsidy and redirection of funds to infrastructure and development, Massive investments in road infrastructure, student loan scheme (NELFUND), Economic reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy and attracting foreign investments, Improved security architecture and support to farmers and small businesses, The South-South Development Commission and other regional interventions
“President Tinubu has taken difficult but necessary decisions to rescue Nigeria. Today, we are seeing the results – stability in the economy, renewed confidence in governance, and a clear roadmap for the future,” Okolugbo stated.
The APC chieftain also commended the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for his sterling performance in line with his MORE Agenda.
He noted that Governor Oborevwori has transformed Delta State within his first tenure through massive infrastructural projects, payment of workers, empowerment of youths and women, and peace building across the three senatorial districts.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has demonstrated capacity, humility and focus. From Warri to Asaba, Ughelli to Agbor, you can see visible projects. Flyovers, road dualization, schools renovation, health care delivery – the MORE Agenda is working,” he said.
Okolugbo stressed that with President Tinubu at the federal level and Governor Oborevwori in the state, now both in the APC family, Delta is set to enjoy unprecedented development and federal presence.
He called on Deltans, especially youths and first-time voters, to rally behind the APC in 2027, assuring that the party will present credible and competent candidates across all positions.
“APC is the party to see in 2027. We are united, we are organized, and we have performance as our campaign tool. President Tinubu has performed, Governor Oborevwori has performed. Deltans know and they will vote massively for APC,” Okolugbo concluded.
