2027: Delta APC adopts Ossai as sole candidate for Ndokwa/Ukwuani fed constituency

Leaders, stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Delta State, have unanimously adopted Ossai Nicholas Ossai as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.

The adoption, which took place in Obiaruku, was attended by scores of party leaders drawn from across the 30 federal wards of the constituency. The event underscored a strong consensus within the party and shared commitment to securing effective and experienced representation at the national level.

In their separate remarks, party leaders and stakeholders described Ossai as the most credible, competent and strategic choice for the constituency, citing his vast legislative experience and proven track record. As a former three-time ranking member of the House of Representatives, he is widely regarded as best positioned to be in leadership structure for the constituency, thereby enhancing its visibility, influence and access to national opportunities.

Speakers at the event further highlighted his unparalleled achievements during his previous tenures, including impactful constituency projects, effective lawmaking contributions and consistent advocacy for the welfare and development of Ndokwa/Ukwuani people. They noted that his return to the National Assembly would mark a renewed era of purposeful representation and accelerated development.

The resolution for the adoption was passed unanimously, with resounding endorsements from ward leaders, youth groups, grassroots women and other critical stakeholders, all pledging their unwavering support for his candidacy.

In his acceptance remarks, Ossai thanked party leadership and  members, as well as the people of the constituency for the overwhelming show of confidence. He reaffirmed his commitment to dedicated service, inclusive representation and the pursuit of legislative excellence for the benefit of all constituents.

“This overwhelming endorsement is both humbling and motivating. I remain committed to justifying this trust through effective representation, strategic engagement and the delivery of tangible dividends of democracy, including the urgent step-down of the Okpai IPP in Kwale, the robust development of the Teaching Hospital for the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences Kwale, and other major infrastructural projects across communities within the constituency, as well as extensive human capital empowerment initiatives,” he stated.

He further used the occasion to call on party faithful and constituents to rally support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, describing such support as a necessary reward for their respective strides in advancing development at the national and state levels.

The event concluded with a renewed call for unity within the party, urging all members to close ranks and work collectively towards securing victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
