Former chieftain of Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Okonkwo has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of intimidating the opposition using every trick in the book ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to him, the coalition African Democratic Congress (ADC) is on “fire” but has faced relentless attacks from the APC across several states.
Okonkwo said this as a guest on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Monday.
He cited incidents of such attacks in Kaduna, Lagos, and Ekiti States, where ADC meetings were disrupted by thugs allegedly sponsored by the APC.

He noted that the security agencies were conniving with the ruling party to frustrate the opposition.
“ADC is on fire. The only thing is that we have an APC that is using every method to intimidate and scatter the plans of the opposition,” Okonkwo said.
The actor-cum-politician maintained that the ruling party will not succeed in its mission, noting that the ADC is poised to win in 2027.
He said, “ADC is going to form the next government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are strategising, and we are going to beat this APC.
“They are already imploding because all these endorsements are just an amalgamation of sycophants.”
