The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reopened its electronic membership registration exercise across Nigeria as the ruling party begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The exercise commenced on Monday, August 31, 2026, according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
The party said the registration would be conducted across its wards nationwide, with existing members required to validate their membership details while new and prospective members can register to join the party.
“We invite all party stakeholders, supporters and members, old and new, to participate in the APC membership electronic registration exercise,” Morka said.
He noted that prospective registrants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
The APC said the exercise is part of efforts to modernise and strengthen its membership management system ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to the party, digitising its membership register will improve the accuracy and integrity of membership records while providing easier access to data for planning and administrative decisions.
The exercise, it added, is also intended to promote internal democracy and reinforce the party’s adoption of digital innovation in its operations.
The APC urged its existing members, supporters and intending members to take advantage of the exercise and participate in the nationwide registration process.
