The Abia State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eric Opah, has declared that the party is building a formidable political structure to win Abia State in the 2027 general elections and secure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

Opah made the declaration during an engagement with women artisans organised by Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTFN), one of the major support groups backing the president, as part of efforts to deepen grassroots mobilisation and promote women’s economic empowerment.

The engagement also provided a platform to sensitise participants on the Renewed Hope policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.

Opah, who commended RTFN for the initiative, said sustained engagement with the grassroots and economic empowerment of women were critical to building a stronger political base for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

He expressed confidence in the party’s growing political fortunes in Abia, noting that APC stakeholders and support groups were working towards building a more united, stronger and formidable organisation capable of delivering electoral victory.

According to him, the increasing grassroots mobilisation across the state demonstrates the party’s readiness to compete effectively in the next general elections.

He stressed that political support must go beyond declarations, insisting that consistent engagement, mobilisation and commitment to the electorate remained essential to winning public confidence.

The APC chieftain said the party would continue to reach out to women, artisans, traders, workers, pensioners and young people across the state, adding that their participation was vital to its political success.

He maintained that the APC’s focus was to expand its grassroots structures, strengthen its connection with the people and build the momentum required to deliver victory for President Tinubu and all APC candidates in Abia State in 2027.

The engagement with women artisans forms part of broader efforts by APC stakeholders and pro-Tinubu groups to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence ahead of the next electoral cycle.
