2027: Anambra govt threatened by Peter Obi’s popularity – NDC

The Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Theo Abu Agada has said the Anambra State Government is threatened by the growing popularity of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Agada made the assertion in an X post on Monday after the state government charged voters in the state not to vote for the ex-governor.

In a post on its official X account @AnambraNewMedia, the state government accused Obi of working to destroy the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the party under which he governed the state.

Reacting, Agada insisted that Obi would win “big” in the state in 2027 and neither APGA nor Governor Charles Soludo would be able to do anything about it.

He accused the Anambra State Government of being obsessed with Obi.

He alleged that the Soludo-led government has resorted to cheap blackmail having found it impossible to challenge Obi on his governance record.

Agada said, “It is now clear, even to the blind, that the Anambra State Government is threatened by the growing popularity of our presidential candidate, H.E. Peter Obi, and the NDC in Anambra State and beyond.

“I understand this mad obsession. The NDC is going to win big in Anambra, and there is nothing Soludo and his minions in APGA can do about it.

“Since they cannot challenge H.E. Peter Obi on his governance record, they have resorted to cheap blackmail.”
