Players and coaches of the Super Eagles have returned to Abuja following their 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
The loss on Tuesday was Nigeria’s first in the qualifying campaign, coming after they secured a 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar last Friday.
Franculino Djú opened the scoring for Guinea-Bissau in the first half, cutting in from the left before curling his effort beyond Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
After the break, Mama Baldé made it 2-0 before Álvaro Djaló added a third in stoppage time.

The result leaves the Eagles in second place in Group L with three points.
Guinea-Bissau have won their first two qualifying games and sit top of the group with six points.
Madagascar and Tanzania both have one point apiece after playing out a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
