Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Dr. Adebiyi Philips, has emerged as the party’s candidate for the Lagos West Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 senatorial election.
The chartered administrator secured the party’s ticket after emerging victorious at the PDP senatorial primary election held in Lagos, having defeated other aspirants at the keenly contested election.
In his remarks Phillips expressed gratitude to the party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to run an issue-based campaign focused on development, economic empowerment, youth engagement, and improved representation for the people of Lagos West.
Phillips, who called on members of the PDP in the district to remain united ahead of the election, stressed that collective efforts would be crucial to securing victory for the party.
The Lagos West Senatorial District remains one of the most politically volatile constituencies in Lagos State, covering several densely populated local government areas across the state.
Phillips also applauded Adedeji Doherty as well as the Lagos State Working Committee, Local Government Chairmen of Lagos West Senatorial District led by Hon Martins Olanrewaju for their support.
