From Ndubuisi Orji, Abuja
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Vice Chairman, ( North Central), Dr Peter Edeh, has said that the party offers the country an opportunity for a new lease of life in the 2027 general elections.
Edeh, who spoke in an interview with The Sun, in Abuja, said life has become very unbearable for Nigerians under the All Progressives Congress ( APC) led Federal Government.
According to him, it was the current state of affairs in the country that necessitated a coalition of opposition politicians adopting the ADC as the platform to sack the APC in the 2027 and rebuild the country for the benefits of the citizens.
He said “the current government has inflicted on her citizens pain. A lot of pains. How on earth can we be suffering the way we are suffering. The high cost of fuel. Inflation all over, insecurity. The country is not at war and you look at the killings in Benue State; over what?”
Edeh explained that over time, the ADC has built itself as a pro-people political party, which is committed to s humane and progress oriented governance that will address the challenges confronting the citizens.

The ADC leader explained that what the coalition “means for Nigerians is greater hope. If you have no hope, you will think of something coming. It is now left for Nigerians to think of what they want and ADC is prepared to give to Nigerians what they want, because we are from the grassroots, we feel what the grassroots is feeling, we feel the pains of Nigerians.
” And we are ready to change the country and return it to what it used to be. We will make Nigerians happy. Nigerians will have food to eat again. What is humanity when your people are dying. What is humanity when you cannot feed them. What is humanity when your people cannot move freely as citizens?”
He dismissed those behind the suit seeking to oust the interim national leadership of the ADC as meddlesome interlopers, stating that the party is aware of alleged moves by the ruling party to scuttle the coalition.
“It is expected that at this time that people could go about like this. But I must tell you, that no reasonable member of the party is aggrieved to the point of going to court, ” Edeh said.
