The Abia State governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) for the 2027 general election, Doris Ogala, has declared herself as the next governor of the state, insisting that the people “have no choice”.
Ogala, a Nollywood actress, made the declaration during a live session on TikTok, which circulated widely, on Sunday, and drew reactions from supporters and critics alike.
Ogala said her emergence as governor was already a done deal.
She declared, “I, Doris Ogala, as your governor, you don’t have a choice. Doris will be your governor, you don’t have a choice. God has said it, so shall it be. It is very simple, why don’t you get that?”

Ogaga secured the AAC governorship ticket during the primaries and announced her readiness to challenge the current administration in Abia State.
After her emergence as the party’s candidate, she vowed to focus on the welfare of residents if elected, pledging to create employment opportunities, encourage investment and implement policies aimed at improving economic activities across the state.
