Media personality, Donald Oseyomon has expressed strong confidence in the ability of the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Oseyomon, a branding executive with Poise Media, made the assertion in a chat with The Sun on the sidelines of a sporting event at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos over the weekend.

Eric Chelle’s side have a crucial play-off against Gabon at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat on November 13.

The Super Eagles will need to win that match to reach the final three days later, where they could face either Cameroon or DR Congo for a place in the inter-confederation play-offs.

Oseyomon said the Super Eagles’ superlative performance against Benin Republic has shown a glimpse of what the team could do.

The football enthusiast said, “As a die-hard Super Eagles fan, I’ve been through the highs and lows with this team, and I truly believe we can navigate the CAF playoffs successfully.

“We’ve got the talent, the passion, and now the momentum after that crucial win against Benin.

“Victor Osimhen’s hat-trick showed what we’re capable of when we click, and with players like Iwobi and Frank Onyeka stepping up, there’s no reason we can’t dominate the playoffs.

“Critics may have written us off before, but Nigeria always rises to the occasion in big moments.

“The road to the intercontinental playoffs won’t be easy, but our squad has the depth and experience to handle any opponent CAF throws at us. Remember how we turned things around in the qualifiers? That resilience is in our DNA.

“Fans like me are rallying behind the team, and I know the boys feel that energy. If we play with the same intensity and unity, we’ll not only scale the CAF stage but also make a strong case in the intercontinental battles.”

He added, “Qualifying for the 2026 World Cup would be a dream come true for every Nigerian, and I see it happening.”
