Iran’s participation in the 2026 World Cup is being called into question following recent incidents.
Mehdi Taj, the president of the country’s football association, has stated that they may be unable to participate in the event this summer.
This comes after the United States and Israel conducted bombing operations against Iran.
Taj told Varzesh3, “It’s clear that after this attack, we can’t really look forward to the World Cup with hope.”
