Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has announced his starting lineup for tonight’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff against Gabon.
Stanley Nwabali, the team’s first-choice keeper, will be in goal, as predicted.
Bright Osayi-Samuel and Zaidu Sanusi will play fullbacks, while Fulham’s Calvin Bassey will defend centrally with Benjamin Fredrick.
Wilfred Ndidi, who will captain the team, will take charge of midfield duties alongside Alex Iwobi, who will make his 90th appearance for the Super Eagles.
The trio of Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Jerome Akor will play behind Victor Osimhen in attack.
