The All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Delegate Congress Committee for Osun State has officially arrived in the state as it prepares for the upcoming elections.

Sheu Umar Dange, the chairman of the committee, met with Tajudeen Lawal, the state executive council leader, and local government APC chairpersons at the party secretariat located along the Osogbo-Gbongan Road yesterday.

During the meeting, Dange assured stakeholders of the committee’s commitment to conducting its duties impartially and in accordance with established guidelines.

In a statement issued by Kola Olabisi, Director of Media and Information for the APC, Dange emphasised that the committee’s primary purpose is to oversee the delegate congresses across the 332 wards in the state to select delegates for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

“We are ready to conduct the delegate congresses in all 332 wards in the state. Our activities will be conducted without bias, and we welcome any complaints to address them fairly.”

Dange urged all stakeholders involved in this critical process to view it as a necessary sacrifice for the party’s improved fortunes.

Chiedu Eluemunoh, secretary of the Congress Committee, encouraged anyone facing challenges during this process to present their concerns, assuring that they would be promptly addressed. He noted that all ad-hoc personnel needed for the effective conduct of the ward delegate congresses are already in place.

Eluemunoh clarified that only revalidated members of the APC in the state would be eligible to vote in the exercise, explaining that being a party member does not necessarily mean one is a revalidated member. Additionally, he mentioned that there would be an Appeal Committee available for members with complaints, set to begin meetings on December 10, 2025.

Tajudeen Lawal, the state chairman of the APC, welcomed the delegate congress team and assured that the State Working Committee would provide any necessary assistance to facilitate their work.
