The Nigerian women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, will begin their preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics with warm-up games against Germany and Puerto Rico, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Their first test comes on July 19th when they face Germany at the Uber Arena in Berlin during the Basketball Festival. Two days later, on July 21st, they’ll take on Puerto Rico in a friendly match held in France.
The Nigerian Basketball Federation is looking to schedule additional games to prepare the team for a strong showing at the Olympics.
D’Tigress aims to advance past the group stage, having exited there in their previous two Olympic appearances.
