The Adamawa state Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, has reassured Adamawa State Government and good people of Adamawa State of his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens during this year’s Easter celebrations.
Damkwambo, working in line with the commitment of the Inspector General of Police System of Policing, has ordered for a 24 hours police presence to dominate the public spaces across the State.
This is contained in a press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Adamawa state Command, Suleiman Nguroje, over the weekend in Yola, Adamawa state.
The Damkwambo Morris said he has directed that all Divisional police officers (DPOs), Operational Commanders and their supervising Area Commanders to personally lead the Men deployed to areas of likely security threats within their respective areas of responsibility (AoRs) and that the proactive visibility patrols will be conducted at all places of worship, Event Centers, residential areas as well as other places of functions.
The statement reads, “The Command emphasizes the importance of professional conduct among its officers deployed for these duties and warned that all officers to be accountable and transparent while discharging their responsibility.
“The CP felicitates with the Government and people of the state especially the Christian community, on the occasion of the Easter celebration and urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station.”
