A group, Ogbako Umunwayi Igbo Worldwide, OUIW, has called on Nigerians to use their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) to end the alleged maladministration of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC and the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming 2023 general polls .
The Group said that Nigerians are tired on being made scapegoats both at home and abroad as the ruling All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party which are the leading parties have serially failed to country in the last 20 years.
This is just as they said that the Presidential candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi appears to be the best candidate in the 2023 presidential polls with the capacity to turn things around for the benefit of Nigerians .
In a statement made available to Journalists on Monday, the president and founder of the Social – Cultural Organisation Eziada Ifeoma Nwadike said ,”Nigerians are tired of being made scapegoats at home and beyond,noting that the two leading parties have failed to live up to expectations across the major sectors of the economy .
The group president said , we members of Ogbako Umunwayi Igbo Worldwide, are supporting Obi campaign because we’re tired of insecurity, injustice and unfairness in Nigeria .
According to them,”Nigerians are tired of being made scapegoats. Nigerians are tired of being chased around in another man’s country just because their own country is burning. It is on fire with insecurity, injustice and unfairness and they are trying to fix their own country and someone highly placed is talking about arresting them.
However, the Group slammed Abubakar Malami( SAN),Minister for Justice and Attorney – General for threatening to arrest .those involved in the funding of the Presidential bid of Labour Party’s Peter Obi in the diaspora.
The women group said being a Nigerian and living abroad does not stop one from participating in their native nation’s democracy.
“We don’t know what to say to Nigeria ruling class .People are talking about donating their hard earned money. The money they suffered to make abroad to fund campaign in their own country, Nigeria where they want to install good governance and you are there talking about arresting them.
“You didn’t arrest people carrying bullion vans of money from God knows where sharing to lobby delegates to vote for them. You didn’t arrest those people. You are talking about coming abroad to the western nations where freedom, justice, equal right and fairness are practiced to arrest people.
“Think about the moral army that has taken it upon themselves to restore Nigeria to her lost glory. This moral armies you see today will stop at nothing to bring back the glory of Nigeria.
” They are on an assignment which is to restore the glory of Nigeria as the giant of Africa. The 2023 general elections,
would be a revolt against the misrule and bad governance of the All Progressives Congress APC and the People’s Democratic Party”.
While soliciting Nigerians’ support for Obi to bring the country out of its present sorry state, the women group urged Nigerians, especially the youths, to support the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to achieve the dream of restoring the country’s glory.
“Obi appears to be the best candidate to bring about sustainable development needed to lift Nigeria out of her current pathetic and unfathomable condition.” Eziada Nwadike Submitted .
