2023: Farmers’ Forum mobilises 10 million voters for Tinubu

Asiwaju/Shettima Farmers’ Group, on Wednesday, disclosed that it mobilise 10 million farmers across the six geopolitical zones for the presidential standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shetima, ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Making this known was Leader of the Group and National Coordinator of Nigerian Farmers Group and Cooperative Society, NFGCS, Retson Tedheke, while speaking on the mass movement and mobilisation of farmers for actualisation of the Tinubu presidency come 2023.
Tedheke disclosed that originally it was ‘5 million Project Rural Farmers and Voters’ from all geopolitical zones of country for the APC presidential candidate Senator Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Shetima.
He said: “More than 2,500 real Nigeria farm leaders, mobilizers and community leaders are already mobilizing about 10 million farmers From the original ‘5 Million Project Rural Farmers and Voters’ from from all geopolitical zones of the federation for ASIWAJU-SHETTIMA 2023.
“That is currently an average of 67.5 farm leaders and mobilizers per State for all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
“We are approaching 100 farm lead mobilizers per State and the FCT. And we expect to achieve this by weekend. This will ensure there are 20-50 lead farmers mobilizers per Local Government Area in the 774 LGAs.”
Meanwhile, he said the movement by the Asiwaju/Shettima Farmers’ Group is not being bankrolled by anybody but it is out of sheer believe, trust and confidence in Tinubu presidency to change the narrative in Nigeria’s agricultural sector and economy that is the motivation and drive for this all time massive mobilisation for the man they known has all it takes to transform the agricultural sector and change the farmers’ narrative.
“This is without pay, but the desire for real ‘Agbado and Cassava Revolution’. Our target has changed to a minimum of 10 million armers nationwide voting for the ‘Agbado and Cassava Economy’ and for Nigerians developing Nigeria with agricultural and agribusiness opportunities within Nigeria,” he stated.
He also made it known that, “We will soon be receiving 1.8 million rural farmers from two leading farm groups in ‘Nigeria Support the Agbado and Cassava Economy’ and this mobilization has not even started.”
