2023: Apostolic church, monarchs urge Nigerians to look beyond religion

2023-elections

The District Superintendent of Apostolic Faith Church, Rev Isaac Adigun; Oba Adesanmi Okikiola, Oloba of Oba, Ijeshaland, Osun State, and Oba Azeez Aregbegbade of Igbesa, Ogun State, have urged Nigerians to seek unity in the upcoming election, and also vote for credibility and conscience.

This call was made at the church’s annual camp meeting where they said religion should never be the reason to choose leaders.

According to Rev Adigun, “the theme of the camp meeting is for God to raise all forgotten or dead instruments. The traditional rulers are also instruments of God. Most servants of God in the bible have one blemish but they turned out to be the true servants of God. Remember that the people chose them and the Bible spoke about the chosen ones. They are tools in the hands of God,” he stated.

In the same way, Oba Okikiola, who is also a member of the church, said that everyone needs salvation as does the country.
